Printing for Change: Stand Up Against Hunger

Affectionately known as “Scare Bear,” this design was originally carved from an 8-foot wood block and printed on a canvas banner, which you can see on display in our shop! Artist David Reimer was a founding member of our original printmaking collective, and this t-shirt—adapted for screen printing on a much smaller scale—remains one of the most requested.

All proceeds from sales through this campaign will be donated to the Food Bank of North Alabama. Every dollar donated to the Food Bank of North Alabama provides enough food for almost 5 meals! They work to end hunger by offering hunger relief programs that immediately feed people in need, and address hunger’s root causes through local food initiatives that foster entrepreneurship and healthy food access. Food donations are distributed to relief organizations throughout the 11 counties they serve. Click here to donate directly!

In an effort to use our resources to help create the change we’d like to see in the world--starting in our own backyard--we are designing and launching a new campaign each month to raise “change” for a different organization who is doing the work in our community. ABOUT CAMPAIGNS:

 Online Campaigns are one-on-one partnerships with Green Pea Press to sell T-shirts and other printed goods for profit. Items are pre-order only, and only available for the duration of the campaign.

PRE-ORDERS:

 This is a PRE-ORDER. For a Green Pea Press campaign to be fulfilled, a minimum of 24 items must be sold. We do not start printing until the campaign closes. If 24 items are not sold by the end of the campaign, we will cancel and refund any existing orders.

IN-STORE PICKUP:

 In-Store Pickup means that items may be picked up at our Screen Shop: 2720 Governors Drive SW, Suite B, Huntsville, AL 35805. Orders designated for In-Store Pickup are guaranteed for 60 days after fulfillment. Due to limited space, any orders that have not been picked up after 60 days will be considered abandoned. Green Pea Press will notify you via e-mail when your order is ready to be picked up.
